For Fresh Engineers, It is very much essential
to know about an organization structure, Roles of Electrical
Engineers and manufacturing processes of an organization.
There are several departments to perform
the tasks of manufacturing the switchgear panels in a switchgear
company. Electrical Engineers have several roles such as
Estimation, Design, Production, Quality, Project and Sales
Engineer in the switchgear Industry. The flow of work from
one department to other plays an important role in order
to accomplish the projects at the specified time.
We offer you the complete training on the
organization structure along with the duties incorporated
with each department by means of practical approach so that
you can gain the real time working experience in the switchgear
Industry.

L.V
panel or main distribution board is an electrical
equipment which receives power from one or more sources
and distributes to various sub main distribution boards
or loads as per the regulations.
Switchgears like
ACB, MCCB, Isolator are used in the panels for controlling
the power depending upon the current ratings required
for various loads. |
SMDB |
|
|
Sub Main Distribution Boards receives the power
from the main panel and distributes to final distribution
board or load.
MCCB, Isolator are used in the panels for controlling
the powers depends upon the current rating required
for various loads.
|
DB |
|
|
Final DBs receives the power from the SMDB &
distributes it the load especially in low voltage
& low current applicants.
Isolator, ELCB, MCB are used in the boards for controlling
the power of the load like lighting, sockets, A/C,
lifts, etc…

Capacitor Bank |
|
|
A vast majority of
electrical loads in low voltage industrial installation
are inductive in nature. Such loads consume both active
and reactive power. The active power is used by the
load to meet its real output requirements where as
reactive power is used by the load to meet its magnetic
field requirements. The reactive power [inductive]
is always 90% lagging with respect to active power.
The supply system should be capable
of supplying both active and reactive power.
The supply of reactive power from the system results
in reduced installation efficiency due to
Increased current flow for a given load
Higher voltage drop in the system
Increased in losses of transforms, switchgear and
cables.
It is therefore necessary to reduce and manage the
flow of reactive power to achieve higher efficiency
of the electrical system and reduction in cost of
electrical consumed.
Capacitor bank is used to reduce
and manage reactive power by power factor improvement
through power capacitors.
Isolator, MCCB, fuse, contactor,
capacitor, reactor are used in the panel to improve
the power factor of the electrical system. |

Control Panel |
|
|
Control panels are
used for the purpose of starting the motors. Several
type of starter panels are used depends upon the type
of motors and the power incorporated with the load.
Major types of starter panels are Direct on Line starter
& Star delta starter,
DOL starters are used for the low power motors which
can be started directly with the use of contactor,
overload relay, MCCB, ELCB, etc…
Star Delta starters are used for the high power motors
which will start the motor at low speed and run the
motor at a constant high speed after a specified time.
This functioning is achieved by using MCCB, Contactor,
Relay, etc…
